South Korean pitcher Kim Kwang-hyun has signed a two-year contract worth US$8 million with the St. Louis Cardinals. Kim was formally introduced as a team member during a press conference at Busch Stadiums on Dec. 17. Kim had received offers from the New York Mets, the LA Dodgers, the Kansas City Royals, the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Chicago Bears before making his decision to join the Cardinals. Kim pitched for the SK Wyverns in the Korea Baseball Organization for 12 seasons.
